SMSL SU10 Review — Headfonics
With SU-10, SMSL crafted a nicer sounding unit in all regards, including resolution and timing, while keeping the cost down as humanly possible. A huge surprise was spotting two Noratel transformers and twenty-one OPA op-amps, that added a lot of energy everywhere, not only in the bass. The sound felt free and unshackled, roaming my room freely.

I can clearly hear the difference between just the SU-10 and my power amp or the SU-10 to pre amp to power amp. To me things sound significantly better with the SU-10 direct to power amp. The SU-10 is well made, easy to use and well configured. It sounds natural, clean and completely non fatiguing. I agree.

SMSL SU-9n is a great DAC and the new SU-10 is a very much improved version of it.SMSL We added a good two power supplies for each channel as well as the correct implementation for the ES9038PRO pair. Very similar to the Gustard X26, but twice cheaper, which is welcome.$900 is a good price for such quality.
